Start a chapter or region
Extend OLA’s presence by establishing a regional chapter that supports local alumni engagement while aligning with the association’s shared purpose and governance.
Why start a chapter
Regional chapters help OLA stay active, accessible, and relevant across geographies. They enable local coordination of alumni activities, student support initiatives, community engagement, and representation while remaining connected to the central body.
Who can apply
Any registered OLA member in good standing may apply to initiate a regional or city-based chapter. Applications are reviewed to ensure commitment, leadership capability, and alignment with OLA’s objectives.
Role of a chapter
An approved chapter is expected to:
- Engage local alumni and build an active regional network
- Coordinate events, initiatives, and outreach programs
- Support students and community initiatives at a regional level
- Operate within OLA’s constitution, bylaws, and reporting framework
- Professional or service-based support for OLA initiatives
Governance & alignment
All chapters function under the OLA constitution and guidelines. Leadership roles, reporting structures, and financial transparency are mandatory to ensure consistency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
